workstations, Sun workstations, Data General systems, and IBM/PCs.
This support has included many types of peripherals, several operating
systems, and several types of networks. Duties have ranged from benchmarking
and buying new hardware and software, hardware repair trouble-shooting
and repair coordination, operating system and applications installation
and training, network installation and trouble-shooting, special project
support, system backups and archiving, system security, system enhancements,
training, and implementation and management of test engineering and
design databases.
ACHIEVEMENTS.
- Transition from Test engineering
support back to Design engineering support with UNIX workstations, O/S,
and peripherals. CAE support is now the emphasis. Support for
Test engineering is still provided as needed.
- World-wide O/S install
and 'bug' fix for Test Engineering Apollo production systems.
- Development, installation
and support of MCT, ’t.05ps’, and ‘t.5osf’ testers and upgrades to local
and off-shore sites.
- Sector achievement awards
for development, support and installation of the DATAX project for reducing
by 100X the time it took to reformat and distribute tester tally data for
Advanced family product groups.
- Design and Implementation
of inter-site TAAP database sharing and automatic inter-site data transfers.
- Moving and reinstallation
of all networks, workstations, testers, and computer peripherals from the
Mesa site to the Ocotillo site and now from Ocotillo to the Elliot plant.
