Devoted and energetic part-time teacher is seeking a full-time position.  Experience with children of various ages, abilities and cultures.  Possesses knowledge in cooperative learning, Gardner's multiple intelligences, and extensive use of thematic units and math manipulative.  Masters' degree is a plus for school, classroom or Media Center.
 
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Whittier Elementary School, 1993-present, Mesa, Arizona.
Taught in the third/fourth grade Extension program for seven years.  The Extension program provides small classes so regular teachers can instruct in reading and math.  The classroom teacher teaches one half of the class while the other half attends Extension.  The first three years of Extension emphasized math and reading concepts by using thematic units and math manipulative.  The last four years emphasis has been on science and math, using research, hands-on projects and cooperative learning techniques.

Bonneville Elementary School 1977-1984, Orem, Utah.
Taught as a fifth, sixth, and fifth/sixth grade combination classroom teacher.  Implemented individualized reading, spelling and math programs while providing continuous progress for students.
